Born and raised in Queens, NY, Marlena cultivated her creative skills at an early age by forcing her siblings into bedroom productions of “Peter Pan.” Her passion for storytelling continued to grow and years later Marlena found herself studying theatre and costume design at Hunter College.

An independent study with NBC propelled her into the world of film where she focused her talents for over a decade. Though primarily a set decorator, she has performed in various key roles ranging from designer, writer, producer, and director for a multitude of shorts, features, music videos, commercials and live events.

Her success brought her to Los Angeles, and she is currently developing a docu-series centered around neurodiversity and mental health. She also still manages to force family members and friends into productions.
